HOCA are familiar with the complexities associated with maintaining SEN provision with the Borough for both political and operational objectives.
We were able to demonstrate the possible options to increase the sizes of the existing teaching spaces within the existing Key Stage ONE and Key Stage TWO buildings so as to comply with BB99 requirements and, at the same time accommodate the new SEN Base.
Design options are examined for additional SEN provision with reference to BB77 "Designing for pupil with Special educational Needs" culminating in a final Design Solution that is approved by all stakeholders.

Security of children is particularly relevant given the nature and functionality of a SEN Base. HOCA in conjunction with the school generate a policy for access control throughout the school for the completed project.
