Environmental Credentials
In addition to using appropriate specifications and materials to ensure the best possible environment, our buildings also offer a number of external environmental benefits for Clients and End-Users.
We develop buildings with a range of features that are not only beneficial to the environment, but offer cost savings through energy efficiencies by using a number of methods including:
These features collectively ensure exceptional ‘green’ credentials for our buildings, and when combined with swift assembly times their carbon footprint is greatly reduced.
The panels that make up our modular and prefabrication buildings leave the factory fully fire-proofed and secure, with all windows and doors pre-fitted to your specification. The panels contain timber that use at least 20% less energy than other materials to bring it to the finished state, meaning that wood is effectively a carbon-neutral material (even allowing for transport).
The Building Research Establishment have developed their formal Environmental Assessment Method for buildings (BREEAM), to which we have adhered to “Very Good” or “Excellent” standards on numerous projects.
With environmental issues becoming ever more important, this gives HOCA Modular Buildings another major benefit over the more traditional construction methods and provides Clients with sustainable and cost-efficient building solutions.

- Sustainable & Renewable Architecture
- Solar Panels with Green Roof Technology
- Rain Water Harvesting
- Sun Tubes with Passive Air Technology to Internal Spaces
- Wind Catchers

The work was carried out during term time, with children around, but the relationship between the contractors and the architects meant that there was minimal disruption and viewing panels allowed the children and staff to watch as work progressed .....
