William Hogan-O'Neill - BA. Arch, PGrd Dip Arch, Ph.D (Arch), RIBA, FRSA - Chartered Architect; Practice Founder & Principal
William is an experienced architect with extensive design, project management, and technical expertise. He established The HOCA Practice in 1999. Since this time the Practice has expanded to a team consisting of Project Architects, Technicians, Assistants and an in-house Quantity Surveyor.
Widely considered to be a subject matter expert for Modular / Pre-Fabricated Architecture Design & Build projects having completed a Ph.D thesis in Prefabricated Systems. Since 2003 however, projects in this specialist area have also been undertaken as a research practitioner in parallel with providing consultancy advice to Constructors, Developers, Off-Site Manufacturers, Local Authorities, and Design & Build manufacturing companies.
Prior to forming HOCA, William was a Partner with SKF Architects in London. He joined the SKF Practice in 1984 as a senior architect following a four-year period in private practice concentrating on commercial and housing developments.
William has solid management, operational, and design expertise in the private sector concerning Hotels, Office Developments, Residential Developments, Education, and Sports & Leisure including major sports complexes in Saudi Arabia during the early years of professional practice.
He also has vast experience working on Local Government commissions ranging from Social Services, Housing, Education, and Sports & Leisure projects for the public sector and was an Active Board Member with Hyde Housing on their Policy Committee in London and with CDHA in Southampton from 2003 to 2006.
William is an experienced Expert Witness in relation to planning public enquiries necessary to ensure that Client interests are properly protected and that appropriate representations are properly argued in an articulate manner.
He is also an experienced public speaker delivering seminar and conference presentations to industry peers and other construction professions surrounding modern methods of construction, construction processes, procedures and procurement choices.
